The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Valkov participated in the inauguration of the Research and Production Complex of Personalized Medicine of the Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnologies of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia. The official ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Irina Yarovaya, and Director General of Rostec State Corporation Sergey Chemezov.

The President of the FMBA of Russia, Veronika Skvortsova, expressed gratitude to the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Russian Academy of Sciences for their support and inclusion in the opening of the complex in the program of the Year of Science and Technology.
“The purpose of the complex is to develop, validate, standardize and produce the most advanced biotechnology products directly in the clinic and use them for specific patients. Already today, modern methods for searching for early diagnostic markers, targets for therapeutic effects and therapeutic viruses for the treatment of neurological diseases have been developed and created in the scientific laboratories of the complex,” she said. The complex complies with international standards GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) for manufacturing practices, which define the rules for the production of medicines, medical devices and diagnostic products. The production site of the research and production complex occupies an area of 600 square meters. meters and is equipped with the latest equipment for preclinical and clinical studies.
