Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin inaugurated the Center for Innovative Medical Technologies (MCITS). He announced the allocation of grants for the development and implementation of innovations in the field of health care.
Sergei Sobyanin opened the Moscow Center for Innovative Technologies in Health Care on Vernadsky Boulevard. This came to the press service of the mayor and the metropolitan government.
According to Sobyanin, the center will solve several problems at once. This is also a single “window” for clinical trials, where innovations being brought to market can be brought to market on an industrial scale. The center is also designed to provide assistance to innovative companies that can rent space here at a reduced rate. In addition, it will help leading clinics to implement new technologies.
All this, according to the mayor, will provide synergy in the development of advanced medical technologies in Moscow.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has opened its own medical technology park. It has a population of 19 innovative companies that conduct research and development in the areas of genetic technologies, oncology and artificial intelligence.
Sobyanin also said that more than 2.5 billion rubles were allocated from the city budget. To support scientific and practical developments and innovations in the field of medicine in 2022-2024. Grants may be obtained to conduct clinical and experimental research, and to create high-tech products for implementation in DC healthcare by scientific teams of medical institutions. A total of 186 applications were received from 46 medical organizations. Of these, 80 (43%) of 35 institutions are approved by the Council of Chief Medical Officers of the Moscow Ministry of Health.
