In just 15 minutes, you can prepare a delicious and healthy breakfast at home.

Oatmeal is one of the most popular breakfast foods around the world. It is easy to prepare and known for its nutritional properties. Ukrainian restaurateur Evgeny Klopotenko advises trying plain porridge with walnuts and caramelized pears.

The taste of porridge in this recipe can be supplemented with honey or sugar. But if nothing is added, it will also be moderately sweet.

For oatmeal:

  • 100-150 g oatmeal (regular or instant)
  • 300 ml water
  • 300ml Milk 2.5% at least
  • 2 sprinkles ground cardamom
  • 30 g walnuts
  • 20 grams butter
  • sugar as desired

To prepare the caramelized pears:

  • 2 tbsp. to. honey or sugar
  • 1 sweet hard pear

First we need the caramel pear. Wash the fruit and cut it into small pieces. Heat the pan and add 2 tbsp. to. the desert. Reduce the heat and wait until the sugar dissolves and begins to turn golden. Then put the pear pieces on it and fry for no more than one minute, stirring constantly over a medium heat until each piece is caramelized.

However, you must be careful that the sugar does not start to burn. In the case of honey, just add it when frying pears.

After that, boil the oatmeal. Pour 100-150 grams of oatmeal into a saucepan, pour 300 ml of water and bring to a boil. Next, add 300 ml of 2.5% milk, a sprinkle of ground cardamom and sugar to taste. Cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. If you have had rolled or ground oatmeal, increase the cooking time and the amount of liquid.

Remove from heat, add 20 grams of butter and leave for 1-2 minutes. Serve ready-made porridge with caramelized pears and nuts.
