Another criminal scandal on the topic of medical procurement may unfold in the Samarra region.
On June 9, it became known that Alexei Oshurkov, deputy chief physician of the Samara Regional Clinical Hospital named Seridavin, had been arrested the day before. This was brought about by the publication of “Samarskoe obozrenie”.
It is noteworthy that the employees of the OEBiPK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the city of Samara took part in operational activities.
According to the publication, the reason for the detention may be the purchase of monitors that can be purchased at an inflated price. In total, we are talking about 25 units of equipment for a total amount of 9 million rubles.
In addition to Alexei Oshurkov, the equipment supplier, the details of which are still unknown, is also in the orbit of the scandal. In the latter case, a criminal case can be filed for fraud. On the other hand, Oshurkov could fall under the article due to the abuse of power.
Remember that earlier in the Samara region there was already a criminal trial in the cartel case. Then the defendants in the case were the former Deputy Minister of Health of the Samara Region Albert Navsardian, as well as the head of Modern Medical Technologies LLC. The case was based on the circumstances, according to which the Samara Ministry of Health entered into an agreement with the head of the company “Modern Medical Technologies” (SMT) Sergey Chatilo for the maintenance of medical equipment for Samara hospitals at a price higher than the market. So Shatilo was able to conclude contracts worth 768 million rubles, thanks to which it earned 161.6 million rubles.
